Great news for commuters, homebuyers and investors who purchase a condominium unit near the downtown line! The second phase of the Downtown line which comprises of 12 stations running from Bukit Panjang to Bugis will open at the end of this year. The entire journey for this part of the Downtown line will only take about 30 minutes soon instead of the current 50 minutes travelling time. Currently, the Downtown line already has 6 stations which are in operation, these are the stations in the central area running from Bugis to Chinatown. Phase 3 of the Downtown line will be ready in 2017 and it will be made up of 16 stations running from Fort Canning to Expo. Commuters will soon enjoy the convenience of travelling from the NorthWest to the Central Business and Financial District of Singapore.
