Takashimaya and Ngee Ann Development (NAD) had a dispute over rent calculation. It is now resolved and the department store was declared winner. The high court agreed with Takashimaya that the rental rate for the next five years should be according to the configuration of the space. The court gave written judgment last month, on Wednesday, September 14th.

Privatised HUDC development, Shunfu Ville which is made up of 358 units is finally sold at a price tag of $638 million after several failed En Bloc attempts over the past few years. The development was sold in May 2016 to Qingjian Realty. It was reported that the seller of each individual unit will be receiving about $1.782 million. This is coming to almost double the value of a single unit there.
